Drawing tips

  • Heavy layers add volume around the body: draw the coat larger than the knit under it, especially at the shoulders and sleeves.
  • Fur has no hard outline; break the edge into soft clumps that follow the direction of the pile.
  • Thick fabrics make fewer, rounder folds than thin ones, so keep winter creases broad.
